Information
for parents

A worry-free sports holiday starts with trust. At SportstarZ, the safety, development and enjoyment of every gymnast are at the heart of what we do. Our goal is for every participant to return home with new skills, great experiences and lasting memories.

SportstarZ has many years of experience in organising professional gymnastics camps. We work with well-trained and experienced staff, including KNGU-qualified and internationally certified gymnastics coaches.

We also make sure that parents receive clear and practical information. Approximately two weeks before departure, you will receive the SportstarZ voucher containing all important practical information, including the programme, directions, contact details and an emergency contact number for the camp location.

Classifications

We aim to group participants according to age and gymnastics level to create the best possible training environment. Boys and girls sleep separately in their own bedrooms or dormitories. During registration, you can indicate if your child would like to share a room with a specific participant. We will do our best to accommodate these requests, but we cannot guarantee that every preference can be accommodated.

Meals and diets

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included during the camp. Lunch is usually provided as a packed lunch and dinner is served as a warm meal. Dietary requirements for dinner can be indicated during registration. Specific alternative products for breakfast or lunch should be brought by the participant. Participants may bring their own snacks if desired.

Location and times

Approximately two weeks before the camp, you will receive the SportstarZ voucher by email. This voucher contains the final practical information, including directions and the exact arrival and departure times. As an indication, participants arrive on the first day around 9:00 AM, and the camp usually finishes on the final day around 4:00–5:00 PM.

Showtime

During the final training session of the week, participants will have the opportunity to show what they have learned during a special demonstration. Parents, family and friends are very welcome to attend. Depending on the camp location, the demonstration will usually start around 2:00–2:30 PM and finish around 4:00–4:30 PM. After the demonstration, we say goodbye to the group and the SportstarZ camp comes to an end for that year.

Phone-free camp

To help participants fully enjoy the camp experience, SportstarZ is a phone-free camp. Phones are handed in at check-in and safely stored throughout the camp. More information about the phone policy and how parents can stay in contact will be provided before the camp.
